STATUARY MATERIALS, FINISHES AND MATERIAL KEYS

Factory have perfected the use of materials and finishes used to manufacture a wide range of products,
depending on their use. Factory media for manufacturing is comprised of three materials:

Fiberglass
By mastering the art of casting our products in fiberglass resin, factory manage to retain
all the detail of the original with the added benefits of being stronger, lighter and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Fiber Stone
Fiberglass with a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface. It is then sandblasted and chemically treated,
followed by an acid stain to give the appearance of aged stone. Since it is reinforced with a fiberglass backing,
it remains lightweight and less fragile than concrete.
It's also easier to move than identical concrete products, and safe for outdoor use.

Tuffstone ª
Although not suited for outdoor use, tuffstone is the highest quality plaster available to factory.
It is very durable but not chalky.

Cast Stone
A special blend of portland cement and lightweight aggregates.

After the product has been designed, molded, casted, and hand finished, factory artisans complete the process by hand,
painting each item from our extensive color palette. This process gives the product a special, one-of-a-kind appearance.

Material Keys

The first letter(s) of each item number generally indicates the material. F and HF = Fiberglass, T and HT = Tuffstone

FIBERGLASS By mastering the art of casting our products in fiberglass resin we manage to retain all the detail or the original with the added benefits of less weight (reduced shipping costs), greater strength, and a product suitable for indoor and outdoor use. These item numbers look like "F3456" or "HF3456". FIBER STONE Fiber Stone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface using terrazzo-like techniques. The surface is then sandblasted and chemically treated, followed by an acid stain to give the appearance of aged stone. Since it is reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains light-weight and less fragile than concrete. A product is Fiber Stone if it has any of these finishes. TUFFSTONE (TM) Tuffstone (TM) is the highest quality casting plaster available to us. Tuffstone is not chalky and very durable but not suited for outdoor use. These item numbers look like "T3456". BONDED CARRARA MARBLE An addition to our collection is imported statuary from Italy. These beautiful statues are made out of Bonded Carrara Marble. You'll love them. There is no material key for these products. These item numbers look like "3456".

For item numbers that do not fall into any of these categories, the item is most likely made of fiberglass resin. If you would like to know the material of a specific product, feel free to and we will help you determine what the material is. Don't forget to tell us the item number in question.

Hand Finished All finishes are applied by hand and may vary from piece to piece. Therefore, when ordering multiple quantities, it is best to order at the same time to ensure consistency between products.
